Mike Maher is a unique and energetic storyteller who promotes knowledge and respect for natural and cultural history. Mike's interactive character programs are a perfect blend of education and entertainment. Presentations are great for schools, nature centers, libraries, scout groups, historical organizations, or anyone who loves a great story.

Mike is a licensed teacher and works closely with educators to meet standards and learning objectives. In addition to performances for all ages, interactive storytelling workshops are available.

Presentations include:

  • Backwoods Buttercup - A mix of science, natural history, and legend and myth, promoting personal responsibility towards the natural environment.
  • Frontier Tales - A first-person interpretation of a Norwegian settler, which can be expanded to include an outdoor interactive pioneer skills workshop.
  • Professor Owlbert Eyeshine - The eccentric professor of nocturnology and things that go bump in the night. Slides, wacky props, and volunteers are used to explore the adaptations of nocturnal animals.

For information on these and other programs, visit Mike's website.
