Professional storyteller and actors, Alan and Mary Atwood bring over 25 years of experience to the stage with 7 different story plays:

  • Mystery!
    A detective takes children on a clue hunt in this "choose your own adventure" story.
     
  • The Fisherman and His Wife
    A slapstick version of this fairy tale classic.
     
  • African Fables
    Five "Anansi the Spider" stories.
     
  • Rainbow Tales
    Stories from China, Mexico, Africa, Russia and the USA.
     
  • Scavenger Hunt USA
    A teacher meets children's book characters on a cross-country race.
     
  • Good Morning Spring
    A star-struck caterpillar is afraid to become a butterfly.
     
  • The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
    Lucy and Peter re-enact their adventure.

The Atwood Players have been delighting audiences from "Kids in the Rotunda" at the Madison Civic Center to libraries and elementary schools across the state. Their story plays are geared for audiences from preschool through sixth grade.

Alan Atwood also offers a one-man play on the story of the Gospel of Mark, called Traveling Light, geared for audiences age 10 through adult. In this play, Mr. Atwood changes characters with costumes and props as he tells the story. Visit his website for additional information.
